Spiced Nuts

Mixed nuts are roasted to perfection with spices.

how the heck could it have gotten up to 123 degrees where I live and we are one month into summer?!? Arizona is soooo hot.

For the past 2 weeks weve been having tempatures range from 110 to 122. The record temp is 128 degrees in Arizona, so we are close to setting a record temp! Not really related to this post but i needed to mention it. I feel like im going to wilt everytime i go out in the sun!

I miss winter, even though its still 70 degrees in December. Because guys. It’s 116 DEGREES today.

Okay so now I’m going to talk about the recipe.

Duuuude. These roasted nuts are to die for. Okay, not really. But with this recipe I found my obsession with Brazil nuts.

when I find a Brazil nut in the jar of these im like, ”I found a Brazil nut! YES!!!” I feel like i react to these to much.

In a whole can of these from the store (which, by the way, are two and a half cups) there were 3 Brazil nuts. So i have a reason to react the way i do.

I hope you guys enjoy this recipe! Right here i am using my computer fan. Very useful.

  1. These nuts sound delicious! I’ve made a similar recipe but also added a tablespoon of sriracha sauce – SPICY! 😉

I feel you on the heat. The last two weeks of triple digits every day in Tucson have driven me insane! I told my husband it’s time to move!

Our oldest lives in Phoenix and was down for the holiday. He’s on his way back home and dreading the temps he’ll find since Phoenix is always 5-10 degrees hotter and it’s 104 here right now! 😉

    1. Thank you so much!! Ooh, I can’t handle really spicy foods! I have tried Siracha probably 3 times, most of the time in small amounts in pot roast!
Ugh, I want to move too! Currently it’s 110 degrees. There is an excessive heat warning that has been going on for the past month! Ha!

  2. HI, love spiced mixed nuts so thanks for sharing this recipe!
We JUST bought a second home in Tucson, we close in August. It was 118 the day we made the offer and spent the entire next day in the pool at the VRBO we rented for the week. We are very excited about spending the winter there but the summer temp, oh boy! Hang in there!

    1. Congratulations on the house! I’ve always wanted to go to Tucson, hopefully I can soon! Hopefully I can hang on, but this heat is driving me crazy! Thank you! Oh, the pool is always a necessity here 😄

  3. Oh my goodness I can’t IMAGINE that kind of heat! 😨 and I live in Georgia!! Our summers are so humid and rainy, too. It’s insane. On a happier note, these nuts look fantastic!!! I’m adding them to my to-make list 😀 I hope you have a good weekend, Eva! ❤
